Alyssa Findley, MD, FAAD, FACMS

Dr. Alyssa Findley is a Board Certified, Fellowship-Trained Mohs Surgeon and Dermatologist. As the owner of our practice, she is excited to bring expert dermatological care to Southern New England. Dr. Findley graduated from Bucknell University, where she earned a B.S. degree in Biology with Magna Cum Laude honors. Next, she attended Tufts University School of Medicine and an internship at Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA. Dr. Findley then completed a dermatology residency at Geisinger Hospital in Danville, PA, during which time she served as chief resident. She completed her surgical fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery, Cutaneous Oncology, and Cosmetic Dermatology at Dermatology Professionals in East Greenwich, RI.

During her training, she developed a particular interest in the surgical management of melanoma.  Dr. Findley is one of very few fellowship-trained Mohs surgeons in the area practicing Mohs for melanoma and is referred patients from across Southern New England for this procedure. She is extremely passionate about educating her patients on the importance of sun protection and the early detection of atypical moles and skin cancer.

Dr. Findley has proudly served patients in RI and MA for the past 10 years, and she is known for the close relationship she develops with her patients. She is a strong advocate for the benefits of Mohs surgery and reconstruction happening in a single outpatient setting in most situations. She has performed thousands of high-complexity procedures under local anesthesia, including interpolation flaps like the paramedian forehead flap.

Dr. Findley maintains active membership in numerous state and national medical associations, including the American Academy of Dermatology and the American College of Mohs Surgery. She is board-certified in dermatology through the American Board of Dermatology.

Dr. Findley grew up in Knoxville, TN, as the oldest of five siblings. During high school, she was an avid runner and state champion tennis player. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and five children (four boys and one girl). She loves being outdoors and skiing and can often be spotted running on Barrington Beach with her sheepadoodle “Ollie” on the weekends.
